Will this girl ever wake up? Her morphine has been stopped now and we were hoping her breathing tube could be removed today but Louise just isn't ready to wake up. She's breath holding a bit, especially whenever John or I talk to her so hopefully that will rectify itself tomorrow...we can't bring home a child that stops breathing every time you talk to her!
On the positive side, as far as we know there were no fluctuations in her blood sats today and she didn't need to be bagged. The chest drain has been removed and her wound is exposed..it's looking very neat and clean, I'm impressed! She's getting breast milk by tube and generally is very stable. I was delighted the nurse told me to bring her up a babygro and vest for when she wakes up. Can't wait to see her without that tube!
John's just pointed out..the week that's in it (Easter) has matched Louise's. Let's hope her resurrection is tomorrow!
